Senior Accountant (Russian speaking) - Bocconcino Restaurants

Bocconcino group, restaurant chain comprehensive of 2 restaurants (Mayfair and Soho) and more to come as additions, are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to add to the head office team.

Russian speaking need to have minimum 2 years of experience using SAGE and be based in London.

Responsibilities:

- Take the full responsibility in managing the accounts office

- Cash Flow management

-Prepare the monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts to aid business planning for both restaurants.

- Inform key strategic decisions and formulate business strategies to generate shareholder value.
- Manage junior staff members (bookeeper) while supervising accounts payable processes, including reviewing and processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Manage accurate and up-to-date financial records by supervising and verifying financial transactions entered by bookkeepers.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Be in charge of monthly payroll
- Be in charge of month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Be in charge of financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

- Conduct quarterly VAT submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.

- Prepare and submit annual accounts and financial statements, working closely with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

- Russian speaking

- AAT/ACCA qualification
- Proven experience as a senior accountant in hospitality environment
- Proficiency in using accounting software SAGE50
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills to identify errors or discrepancies in financial data
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders
